Description: It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day metrics and trending topics, but nearly two decades into the social media era, what are we really accomplishing? Take an opportunity to step back and reevaluate what your library can gain from these services and align your content with what succeeds on social media in 2025.
Learning Outcomes:
Speaker Biographies Keith Kesler: Keith Kesler has been the Social Media Librarian at Los Angeles Public Library since 2016. His work has been featured in the NY Times, L.A. Times, Washington Post, People, Sports Illustrated and many other publications. Most notably he produced the Linda Linda’s video for Racist Sexist Boy which reached over 20 million people and won two Webby Awards. In 2023 he was the keynote speaker at the Library Marketing and Communications Conference. Krystal Ruiz: Krystal Ruiz has been a Public Relations Specialist at the Los Angeles Public Library since 2022. Her primary focus is to inform Angelenos of the endless possibilities available inside the Library's do-it-yourself makerspace, Octavia Lab. In addition to her role as a Public Relations Specialist, she also creates original content for the various @lapubliclibrary social media channels. |
